When I left for Canada in August 2008, I had $250 USD in my pocket.

I arrived at Toronto Pearson Airport and slept there for 3 nights.

When the company that hired me came to pick me up, they put me in a two-bedroom house with 11 people.

In the morning, I used to poop while someone brushed their teeth beside me, and the 3rd person was having a shower—yes, in the same bathroom.

Around Christmas time, 15 months later, I got fired and became homeless.

I slept in my 1989 Ford Windstar van for 3 months, in -40°.

I shoveled snow for people's driveways so I could buy food and gas, and I showered at public gyms.

In March 2010, I met someone I knew from my previous job at Parkland Mall in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada—his name is Moody.

He felt sorry for me and let me sleep in his living room.

In our first convo, he asked me, "What are you going to do?"

"I'm gonna open a business," I said.

"Hahaha, how the heck are you gonna open a business? You don't even speak English, you have no money, and you're on a work permit," he said.

"I'll find a way," I said.

He was like, "Are you on drugs?

No way," I said. "I never do drugs.

He laughed in my face but believed in me!

Two months later, on May 10th, 2010, I started my first business.

From May 10th - December 31st, 2010, in less than 7 months, I had 6 locations, 25 employees, and my skincare company EWNS, which stands for "Establish a Way, Never Surrender," generated $1.2 million in sales.

Moody became my best friend and business partner!

And the rest is history.

I'm a dropout.

I have no special talent.

I never went to business school.

But what separates me from the rest is that I believe in myself, and I never stop trying.

Whoever said, "You can't beat the man who doesn't give up," was absolutely right!

I'm a living testament that anyone can transform, endure, and rise from the ashes, just as I did.

Today, I go to bed peacefully, knowing I have made my youngest self—the village Arab boy who grew up in extreme poverty, and no one believed in him—proud.

Now I'm going to share with you a lesson that took me 15 years to learn!

Trust me! they didn't Teach you this in school!

If there is something I have learned in my entire life is that mental toughness is everything!

You can hire a million $ business coach but if you don’t learn how to work under pressure, overcome obstacles and keep going when things get tough, your business is going to fail.

You can hire a relationship coach, but if you don't practice the masculine-feminine rule, learn how to stand your ground, and communicate your needs and boundaries, you won't be respected, and your relationships aren’t going to work.

You can hire a fitness trainer, but if you don’t learn how to become consistent, show up to the gym when you don't feel like it, and push yourself past your limits, you’re going to give up too easily and not have the physique you desire.

You can hire a nutritionist but if you don’t learn how to become emotionally detached from your problems, control your feelings and keep your mouth shut when you're hungry or sad, you’re not going to lose fat/weight.

You can enroll in a rehab center, but if you don't learn how to heal from traumas, use your pain as a fuel to push you forward and overcome substance abuse, you're going to live a life full of suffering.

Everyhting starts and ends with your mindset!

In fact; I’m not a rehab center, but I have warriors in my team who overcome 20 years of alcohol and weed addiction
